Revolutionizing Grain Management • Connectivity with Sentry Pac Pro™

Updated: Mar 30

I’m excited to share the latest updates on our groundbreaking connectivity features. Sentry Pac has been a trusted name in grain management for over 40 years, and we’re committed to enhancing that legacy with cutting-edge technology.

Hear all about the new Connectivity features in this video

For those who might not know, Sentry Pac has been around for decades, providing proven technology that keeps your grain in perfect condition without the hassle of cables in the bin. I've been familiar with this technology since I was a kid, and when we took over the company, our primary goal was to modernize and introduce connectivity features that farmers need today.

Bringing Connectivity to Grain Management

Back in 2014 and 2015, I had my first conversations about integrating connectivity into Sentry Pac systems. Each time, I was told, “We’re working on it.” However, it wasn’t until we took over that we made it a priority. Our experience running pivots from our phones showed us just how much time could be saved by accessing vital information remotely.

Now, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve developed a web-based app, which will soon evolve into a full-fledged mobile app.

This app allows you to:

  • Monitor and control your Sentry Pac system.

  • Turn fans on and off manually.

  • Adjust settings for storage, including rewetting and drying.

  • Set moisture content for grain delivery.

With features that track run times and provide essential data, we’re ensuring that you have everything you need at your fingertips. Our lead programming team is dedicated to making this app feature-rich and user-friendly.

Real-Time Monitoring and Notifications

One of the first steps we took in developing connectivity was integrating a Verizon modem with our system, allowing us to gather data like never before. It’s been fascinating to watch the fans operate based on real-time calculations of your EMCs (equilibrium moisture content) and temperature. This level of monitoring is a game-changer.

At the Commodity Classic 2025, we showcased our connectivity solutions, including:

  • A wireless temperature and humidity sensor that operates outside the grain bin.

  • Reliable connectivity that doesn’t falter, even when moving across large distances.

During testing, we maintained strong connections even when our team was 150 to 200 yards away from the main unit, proving the robustness of our technology.

Wireless Control and Future Developments

Our Sentry Pac Pro™ will come equipped with a built-in modem, allowing you to connect to your preferred cellular carrier. This means you can manage multiple sites seamlessly, whether you have one or ten Sentry Pac systems in operation.

Notifications are another vital feature. You’ll receive alerts when your fans turn on or off, and you can customize these notifications to suit your preferences. We understand that late-night alerts can be bothersome, so you can choose to disable them during those hours.

Looking ahead, we’re working on adding even more value to our systems. For instance, we’re developing a wireless fan RPM sensor, which will let you know not only that your fan is running but also how efficiently it’s operating. This level of detail is crucial, especially for farmers managing rented sites or those who need to relocate their equipment periodically.

Cost-Effective Solutions for Farmers

One of our goals is to provide an exceptional value proposition. The Sentry Pac Pro™ allows you to wirelessly control fans without the need for extensive electrical installations. This means you can set up your grain management system without incurring hefty costs for electricians, which is a significant advantage for farmers.

Furthermore, our wireless system is designed to function even without an internet connection. Whether you're in a remote area or facing connectivity issues, the Sentry Pac Pro™ will continue to perform its essential functions effectively.

Continued Innovation and Commitment to Farmers

As we move forward, we are dedicated to continually enhancing our system. We’re excited about the future and the possibilities that lie ahead, including better integration of wireless sensors and even more sophisticated control features. Our mission is to provide farmers with the best tools available for grain management, ensuring that they can operate efficiently and effectively.

We’re proud to be farmers ourselves and to carry on the legacy of Sentry Pac. We couldn’t let this technology fade away, especially after the challenges faced following the previous owner’s passing. Our commitment is to bring you something amazing—something that transforms grain management for the better.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate and improve the Sentry Pac Pro™. We’re just getting started!
