Understanding the Display

The Sentry Pac Pro uses a 4-line LCD display. When the keypad isn't in use, it continuously scrolls through current temp and humidity, program status, and company contact info.



Using the Keypad

The faceplate keypad is your interface for every setting and system on the PAC. It's laid out in three rows, used top-down and left-to-right:

  • Menu Keys (top row) — your starting point for viewing or changing any setting. Press a Menu Key (like "Program A") to open that program's home screen; use the Arrow Keys to scroll through current settings, and press Enter to exit back to the main screen.

  • Selection Keys (middle row) — once inside a menu, press the key for the specific setting you want to adjust.

  • Input Keys (bottom row) — use these to change and confirm the value, then press Enter to save it.

Note: Each menu times out after 7 seconds of inactivity and returns to the main screen — settings won't save unless you press Enter before it times out.


Auto Run vs. Manual On/Off

To turn on the fans, the PAC needs to be set to one of two modes:

  • Auto Run — the selected program automatically turns fans on and off based on your input parameters.

  • Manual On/Off — the selected program ignores all settings and simply turns the relays on or off directly.

In short: Auto Run runs the fans automatically; Manual ON turns fans on and keeps them on; Manual OFF turns fans off and keeps them off.



Example: Programming a Dual-Program PAC (Drying + Rewetting)

Program A — Corn, drying: current moisture 22.3%, desired moisture 15.5%, bin CFM 0.1

  1. Press Program A

  2. Select Grain, use the arrow keys to find "Corn," press Enter

  3. Select Moisture, set 15.5%, press Enter

  4. Select Airflow, set 4 hrs, press Enter

  5. Select Mode, find "Drying," press Enter

  6. Press Auto Run, set "ON," press Enter

The PAC will now run Program A in Drying mode. Once the grain is within ±0.5% of target moisture, switch the program to Storage mode to maintain that condition going forward.

Program B — Soybeans, rewetting: current moisture 9.3%, desired moisture 13.5%, bin CFM 0.1

  1. Press Program B

  2. Select Grain, find "Soybeans," press Enter

  3. Select Moisture, set 13.5%, press Enter

  4. Select Airflow, set 4 hrs, press Enter

  5. Select Mode, find "Rewet," press Enter

  6. Press Auto Run, set "ON," press Enter

Same rule applies: once within ±0.5% of target moisture, switch to Storage mode.

Tip: A good habit is to check the grain weekly to confirm it's trending in the right direction.


Example: Programming a Single-Program PAC (Storage Mode)

Program A — Soybeans, storage: current moisture 12.9%, desired moisture 13.5%, bin CFM 0.1

  1. Press Program A

  2. Select Grain, find "Soybeans," press Enter

  3. Select Moisture, set 13.5%, press Enter

  4. Select Airflow, set 4 hrs, press Enter

  5. Select Mode, find "Storage 1," press Enter

  6. Press Auto Run, set "ON," press Enter

The PAC will now run Program A in Storage 1 mode.



Example: Manual Fan Operation

  1. Press Program A

  2. Press Manual On/Off, set "ON," press Enter — this turns on the relays for Program A

⚠️ WARNING: Do not start the fans when the bin is empty — this can damage floor supports and other critical components.

To turn the relays back off: press Program A, then Manual On/Off, set "OFF," press Enter. Use the same sequence for Program B, if applicable.
